Project Spotlight
RMCI designed, recommended, installed, configured, and maintained the network devices used for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) LAN. The USDA network supports over 10,000 users in a four-building complex. The USDA required migration from a broadband LAN to a fiber and twisted pair network. Over a one-year period, RMCI installed more than 200 network devices for the migration. Device types included:
- Network hubs (Bay Networks, UB Networks, 3Com and Cabletron and 3Com)
- Network routers (Cisco)
- FDDI bridges/routers and concentrators (Cisco and UB Networks)
