Project Spotlight
RMCI supported the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) in the development of Comprehensive Conservation Plans (CCP) for wildlife refuges in Region 2, Region 4 and Region 6. USFWS is required to develop comprehensive plans for environmentally/ecologically sensitive areas and RMCI has completed 13 CCP's . Concurrently, RMCI has prepared an Environmental Impact Statement for 200,000 acres of Texas Coast and associated habitats for the Texas Chenier Plains Wildlife Refuge Complex CCP.
RMCI worked with USFWS in the initial stages to ensure that the final report format and content provided an immediate budgetary and implementing tool for the individual Refuge Manager. RMCI, in coordination with the planning team, develops management goals, objectives, and strategies for the future management of the Refuges. The ability to deliver a superior product well in advance of customer expectations established RMCI as the lead contractor for these efforts.
